Hi, the first place to have a look (if you haven't already) is under:

  • PeopleTools > Security > User Profiles > User Profiles > User ID Queries (tab)
  • PeopleTools > Security > Permission and Roles > Permission Lists > Permission List Queries (tab)
  • PeopleTools > Security > Permission and Roles > Roles > Role Queires (tab)

These are delivered PeopleSoft Query reports that will provide some basic information.

In terms of auditing information (who made changes/when), there is an audit tab for user profiles/permission lists/roles that tells you the last person that updated that item. You could build a query to get this information. The relevant PeopleSoft database tables can be found in this article on PeopleTools Security.

If you need to audit ALL changes made to user profiles/permission lists/roles, then this requires customization as it isn't something that is delivered by PeopleSoft. That's where something like the auditing user profiles article comes into the picture. So that would need some development changes made. It all depends on your audit requirements.
